  500 series Lunchbox Modules

M581  1081 Style Single Channel Pre Amp Lunchbox Module
The Vintagedesign M581 is a new version of the much-acclaimed M81R preamp in a package built to fit an API 500-style lunchbox or rack. For space reasons we developed a new output transformer designed to fit the narrower, 1.5-inch frame of a 500-series module. The M581 includes both front and rear XLR inputs. The front XLR connector automatically overrides the rear connector when in use. A jumper is provided if you wish to make the front XLR the default input instead. The M81R is built using discrete amp blocks and the new custom made transformers which work together to achieve an authentic vintage sound and a punchy low-end response.

- XLR input impedance: 1200 / 300 ohm selectable with a frontmounted switch, 1200 is default.
- 48v with "on" indicator
